PPCC Board Convenes to Deliberate Key Decisions Strengthening Liberia’s Procurement Landscape

The Board of Commissioners of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) convened last week for a pivotal meeting focused on strengthening Liberia’s public procurement architecture and advancing ongoing reforms across the sector.

Presided by the chair Dr Ivan F. Camanor, the Board discussed updates on the implementation of the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) system, emphasizing its growing impact on streamlining processes, reducing manual interventions, and promoting increased participation of local businesses in public procurement. Members also reviewed compliance reports from various spending entities, identifying areas that require improved adherence to the PPCC Act and outlining strategies to address recurring gaps.

Key decisions were made regarding upcoming capacity-building initiatives, strengthening institutional partnerships, and supporting efforts to ensure that procurement practices across government ministries and agencies align with international standards.
