PPCC Boss Highlights Importance of E-Procurement Platform at Stakeholder’s Gathering

On March 24, 2026, the Executive Director of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), Hon. Bodger Scott Johnson, served as a panelist at NAYMOTE’s Third Summit, where stakeholders gathered to discuss and advance ideas to strengthen democratic governance in Liberia.

Held under the theme “Sustaining Liberia’s Democracy through Accountability, Inclusion, and the Rule of Law,” the Summit convened government officials, civil society representatives, development partners, and youth leaders to engage in dialogue on improving governance and accountability frameworks.

During a panel discussion, Mr. Johnson joined fellow speakers in examining the role of public institutions in promoting transparency and accountability. He highlighted the PPCC’s mandate in ensuring value for money in public procurement and emphasized the importance of reforms aimed at improving oversight of public spending.

The key focus of his remarks was the Electronic Government Procurement (EGP) System, which he described as a transformative tool for streamlining procurement processes. Mr. Johnson narrated that the System has contributed to reducing corruption risks while enhancing efficiency and transparency in the management of public funds.

He noted that the e-GP System is critical to strengthening governance, building public trust, and ensuring that national resources are effectively utilized for development. Mr. Johnson’s contributions underscored the need for practical institutional reforms that deliver measurable results and uphold Liberia’s democratic principles, highlighting the central role of the PPCC and digital procurement systems in promoting transparency and accountability.
