President Boakai Returns from Türkiye, Highlights Investment Gains

Speaking upon his arrival, President Boakai highlighted the outcomes of his visit to Türkiye, noting that the engagements were geared toward attracting investment, expanding educational opportunities, and deepening diplomatic cooperation between the two countries.

He revealed that discussions included the establishment of a Turkish Consulate in Liberia and a Liberian diplomatic mission in Türkiye, alongside efforts to increase investment and secure scholarship opportunities for Liberians. “...There were talks around investments, education opportunities for Liberians by acquiring scholarships, and strengthening diplomatic relations through the establishment of a consulate and an embassy,” he said.

He described the proposed diplomatic presence as an important step toward enhancing bilateral ties and creating greater opportunities for economic growth and cooperation between Liberia and Türkiye.

The Liberian leader also stressed the need for unity between the Executive and Legislative branches, stressing that national interest must remain above all else. He called on members of both branches of government to work together for the betterment of Liberia.

“Liberia is all that matters, and everyone who has come to government must know that Liberia comes first,” President Boakai said. “We need to work together at all times, because Liberia comes first in everything we have to achieve,” he highlighted.
