The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) Welcomed Members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Team Conducting a Governance Diagnostic Assessment in Liberia

The meeting, held at the LACC office, brought together the visiting delegation and senior management of the Commission for an in-depth discussion on governance challenges and anti-corruption efforts in the country.
The IMF team is in Liberia to assess systemic weaknesses in governance across key institutions and provide strategic recommendations to help strengthen transparency, accountability, and the rule of law. As part of their mission, the team has been engaging with a range of government agencies and stakeholders.
During the meeting, LACC leadership shared insights on the Commission’s current priorities, ongoing challenges, and reform initiatives aimed at improving institutional integrity. Both sides underscored the importance of strong governance frameworks in advancing national development and fighting corruption.
The LACC appreciates the IMF’s interest in supporting Liberia’s governance reform agenda and remains committed to contributing meaningfully to this important diagnostic process.
