Accelerate 360 Group Boosts Capacity to Tap Government Contracts

A business operating group under the banner Accelerate 360 Group has taken a significant step toward strengthening its competitiveness in Liberia’s public procurement sector by seeking a deeper understanding of the country’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System.

The move reflects a growing recognition among private sector actors of the opportunities presented by the digitization of government procurement processes. By leveraging the e-GP platform, businesses can access a broader range of public sector contracts, improve transparency in bidding, and streamline their engagement with government institutions.

To support this initiative, the group formally engaged the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), the regulatory body responsible for overseeing public procurement in Liberia. The collaboration aimed at building the technical capacity of Accelerate 360 Group members, ensuring they are well-equipped to navigate the system and maximize available opportunities.

In response, the PPCC organized a dedicated training session on May 5, 2026, held in its Training Room. The session brought together participants from across the group for a hands-on learning experience focused on the practical use of the national e-GP platform.

During the training, participants were guided through the platform’s core functionalities, including how to complete vendor registration, submit bids electronically, and monitor ongoing and upcoming procurement opportunities. Facilitators also provided step-by-step demonstrations, allowing participants to engage directly with the system in a controlled learning environment.

Beyond technical skills, the training emphasized the importance of compliance with Liberia’s public procurement laws and regulations. Participants were introduced to best practices in bid preparation, ethical standards, and the documentation requirements necessary to ensure responsive and competitive submissions.

PPCC officials highlighted that the adoption of the e-GP system is part of broader government efforts to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public procurement. They encouraged participants to take full advantage of the platform, noting that increased private sector participation contributes to a more competitive and value-driven procurement process.

Members of Accelerate 360 Group expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing the training as timely and essential for expanding their business prospects. They noted that improved familiarity with the e-GP system would not only increase their chances of securing government contracts but also strengthen their overall operational capacity.

The training marks an important step in bridging the gap between public procurement reforms and private sector readiness, positioning participating businesses to play a more active role in Liberia’s economic development.
